Is it Time for a To Do List Update

That is what I have been thinking over the last week. I should have a look at my master unfinished Project list and see how far I have progressed since the last update.

Well you should have seen my face when I looked! The look of disappointment would have been clear. I couldn't believe the lack of progress. What have I been doing over the last few months. It is clear I haven't been sewing too much and when I have it has not been on any of these projects.

Really! This is not very good on my part even with me participating in a couple of online finishing challenges I am going nowhere fast. I think I need a good talking to or my hand slapped every time I consider starting something new. Do you think that would help? Probably not.

So on my list only one project has been crossed off recently and at least 3 new ones have been started. Plus the 2 projects I found that won't on the list, that need to be added.

My Scrapdance Tango Table runner completed.

I have started work on a couple projects on the list in attempt to complete more off this list.
There is a number of octagon blocks I hand pieced  that were going to be a larger project that now will be Christmas gifts. I can't says too much in case they read this post.

Plus I have a stack of small blocks for a Row Along quilt in my sight. I have started making Four patch blocks to go in between the rows as sashing.

So we will see what happens as there is one other project featuring the block below that needs to be finished in a week's time. At least to the top stage. I don't think I will be able to quilt it.

I better post this and head off to the sewing machine for an hour of sewing before today class, as that is all the sewing I will get today.

Weekend Classes

We had two different classes on over the weekend. On Saturday I spent the day with the Jubilee Quilters who were having their Open Day. Saturday class was on the Westalee Rulers, setting up the machines and having a play with the basic ruler before moving on to the Sampler set for some. Some of the creative playing that happened during the class.

Then on Sunday we had part one of the Bargello Workshop on in store.
I got to sit back and supervisor rather than teaching. That didn't mean I don't do anything. I did assist with some reverse sewing in between some class planning for next year. They all did fantastic and will be back next Sunday to complete the other half of their table runners.

All the ladies that participated over the weekend were great and willing to learn. I hope they all enjoyed themselves.

Craziness Galore Here

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to blog or even to share much on Instagram. This is a shame but you don't want to see the boring stuff. Do you?

There has been lots and lots of planning going on. For all sorts of stuff, like next year's retreat. Yes I have had to get moving on that one as October is a popular time of the year. When I checked for dates there wasn't a lot of options open as they were already booked. So I will have to remember that next year 2 months before our next retreat I am looking at dates for 2019.
What else have I been working two new patterns designs, one is a mystery project for November class.

The other is a larger project for next year which may just be our next Block of the Month.

Classes is the other thing I have been working on for next year. There is 6 new classes planned plus 3 classes that need to be repeat as there is more interest in them.Of course we will still have our 2 Project Uninterrupted sessions each month. A question for everyone.

If you were going to do a class what would you like to learn?

Share your thoughts in the comment section for me please. It is alway good to know what people want to learn when planning classes.

Project Uninterrupted Retreat

I have just got home from our first Project Uninterrupted retreat held at Nunyara Conference Centre at Belair. We arrived late Friday afternoon to set up and receive our guests at 5 pm for two full days of sewing, eating, chatting, laughing, catching up with friends and making new friends.

We were working on finishing projects so we can start new ones. Some of us more successful than others.

We had a great weekend away and I can tell you plans for next year are underway.
I will do another post featuring the ladies projects. As this post would be way too long.

Q4 Finish Along Goals

It is time to set our goals for the last quarter of the year. The last quarter was a total bust. So some of last quarter's projects have made this list. Let's hope I can complete some of these projects and finish the year on a good note.

Here goes my list.

The first project is this Dresden plate table runner. This one was only blocks last quarter so there was some progress but  not enough.Just need to do the circles for the centres and I will be ready to pin and quilt it.

The second project is another table runner. I quilted this one over the weekend so it is ready for binding.

What the table runner looks like before I quilted it..

Project #3 is this one. Once I find it. I was looking for it yesterday because I had a piece of backing fabric left over from another project which I thought would work for it.  It has been sewn together and the borders added. Ready for pinning and quilting.

Project #4 is these leaf placemats. As you can see I have started the first one. That means I have 3 and a half to go. I think everyone else from the group has finished theirs or are nearly finished. I need to catch up. This is a technique I want to explore more.

I have linked my post up with  She Can Quilt, so pop over and check out what everyone is working on. .

350 Block Report- September's Report

This month's total is 42 blocks.

1 round block.

In my defence I have been flat out with retreat preparations which I hope to get a ton of sewing done next month when we are away. Also I have been doing preparations for next month's Ruler Quilting demo and workshop for the Jubilee Quilters. So lots of quilting happening. Now maybe a few projects may get completed if I am quilting. Does that sound reasonable.

Here is a picture from last month of my Jingle Bell blocks that I couldn't share last month

I did squeeze in one more block for this month. A test block for a new project

This Month's total is 2. Only 40 short this month. How does that happen.
